I am not a flowery person, so this more graphic shape Broderie Anglaise suited me perfectly. I bought this and cotton twill (along with a linen cutwork tablecloth from a charity shop) to dye with indigo to give me 3 fabrics to make the Roberts Wood Bow trousers along with Matchy Matchy T.
I bought 2 metres. There are one or two 'embroidered holes' in the fabric where the stitching isn't all the way around, but only one or two and easy to avoid. Stitching is also cotton so all took the dye to the same extent. I was concerned I would get uneven shrinkage in washing, giving puckering around the stitching, but not at all. Really pleased
